grace in the wilderness

I am a Mom of 3 and a wife to my Andy.    

 I've loved art my whole life, but have always struggled to pursue it consistently. A lot of times I find myself craving to paint and create in the winter months when I can't walk barefoot in the grass, and start to feel the cabin fever with my 3 kiddos. One of my favorite places to paint is by the campfire. As a busy Mom sitting by the campfire isn't always possible, so I set up a little painting area in my kitchen, which is how The Painter's Kitchen Youtube came to be! 

I am absolutely in love with nature, it shows how God is such an artist. I mean, have you seen the intricate details of flowers? It blows my mind how beautiful nature is!    

 I graduated college with a degree in photography. I have photographed weddings, couples, families, bands, etc all throughout my photographer career. My passion lies in nature photography and lifestyle photography- the kind where I capture the candid more than the posed. The wrinkles, lights in the eyes, details, beautiful REAL awkwardness that life can be. Because life is awkward, hard, covered in blemishes, flaws, but what God continuously whispers to me is that He looks AT THE HEART, so that is what I am trying to intentionally focus on, too.
